How Do I Continue Using FreeMyApps On My New Device?

Roy Harper -

FreeMyApps accounts CANNOT transfer successfully from one device to another. If you restore from backup, you might be able to see your old account and redeem your credits for gift cards at first, but you will NOT be able to continue earning credits normally. This is because accounts are directly connected to their original devices for geo-targeting reasons. Once a device is switched to a new one, that connection is broken, causing the old account to no longer be able to earn credits on the new device.

If you plan to stop using your old device, FreeMyApps recommends that you spend all of your credits BEFORE making the switch. Once you have redeemed your old credits, you will need to start a new account on your new device if you would like to continue using FreeMyApps. If you have already changed devices, you can redeem your credits by momentarily restoring the backup of your old device. So, if you have credits, spend them!

Android users can use FreeMyApps on their new device by simply downloading FreeMyApps through the Google Play store. You will be starting from scratch with a new FreeMyApps account, a new share code, and zero credits.

iOS users switching to a new device will not be able to earn any new credits until clearing all of the Safari data from the new device and re-enrolling. You will be starting from scratch with a new FreeMyApps account, a new share code, and zero credits. If you need assistance with clearing your Safari data, please follow the steps at the following link:

Please note that you will be starting from scratch with a brand new FreeMyApps account, a new share code, and zero credits. You do not need to make any changes to your old device if you plan to continue using your old account. If you have gone through these steps, but still see your old account on your new device, it is a good indication that you have not successfully cleared all of your device's cookies.
